Care and Description
One of the earliest indigenous folk art form Pattachitra. The paintings are mediums of storytelling, elaborating on the Hindu mythology particularly depicting the tales of Lord Krishna- who is believed to be an avatar of Lord Vishnu. This one in its exotic strokes, celebrates the ethereal romance of Radha and Krishna. The beauty of the painting is that it is done on the finest Tussar silk material. The bright vibrant colours used are all extracted from natural dyes by artists in Raghurajpur, Odisha.
