Care and Description

One of the earliest indigenous folk art form Pattachitra paintings are mediums of storytelling, elaborating on the Hindu mythology. The bright colours and the framing adds to the elegant charm of the treasured Pattachitra, done by artists in Raghurajpur, Odisha. The painting is done on patti paper- a paste of natural pesticides like lime stone powder, tamarind paste etc to make the painting resistant and enduring.
