Care and Description

Blue as the endless sky, soft as the breeze that blows through the fir trees, is our yolked, inverted pleated dress. This midi length, sleeveless blue dress is blue enough to beat your Monday morning blues and playful enough for your Sunday Brunches. Our hand-woven cotton fabric has tiny contrasting geometric motifs and wooden buttons for you to button up or button down. The model (height 5'10") is wearing a size S.

Starting with just 20 weavers in 2005, Chitrika promotes self-managed and self-sustaining business institutions of artisans, primarily handloom weavers, currently in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Chitrika believes in positioning the producer-artisan at the core of business enterprise. It aims to democratize handlooms/handicraft and make it an everyday choice for the consumer and not just an act of charity. Since then, with a small team of rural professionals, mostly from weaver backgrounds, Chitrika has worked to train weavers in all aspects of running a successful business enterprise – from production, technology, finance management, marketing to institution building. In the long run Chitrika aims to create a business eco-system for handlooms and handicrafts so that artisans can collectively build better lives for themselves.
